Private equity’s positive contribution in Africa

African private equity stakeholders, meeting at a conference in Paris on 2 October, recalled the importance of their role in financing the continent’s economies, in a context where the mobilized amounts are falling by almost 60% since 2015.

For Lionel Zinsou, Managing Partner of SouthBridge, “private equity finances the growth of the continent and job creation, contributes to the improvement of governance and is one of the solutions to the essential problem of the expansion of Africa. ”
