Andrew Alli on the challenges facing Africa and the need to be bolder

Andrew Alli, our Group CEO, had a lively discussion with Ovigwe Eguegu, political analyst, on the podcast Africa Unconstrained. The podcast is developed by Development Reimagined, an African-led development consultancy.
During these exchanges, Andrew underlined the urgent need for Africa to be more creative to push wealth and opportunities over the next 20 to 30 years because the continent is faced by an immense demographic challenge, a very sharp increase of population with consequences on job creation, infrastructure, education, health, and social investments.
To achieve this, Africa must be bolder: bolder in financing, growth, investments, and to concentrate its efforts on industries, services and technologies of the 21st century. These undertakings should address the questions of taxes, debt services, domestic savings and adaptable to Africa’s needs.
